Szczech, Victoria (23 DEC 1879 - 7 MAY 1931)
Mrs. Victoria Szczech, nee Victoria Dlugolpolski, was born in Poland, Dec. 23, 1879, and departed this life May 7th, 1931 at the age of fifty-two years. She leaves to mourn her death, three children, two sons and one daughter, Walter and Leon of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., and Mrs. Nellie Rogus of Withee, Clark Co. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 18, 1918.
The funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church Monday morning at 10 a.m., Rev. F. A. Kulig officiating, where a very large number of relatives and friends attended, interment following in the Catholic Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Anton Walowick, Martin Rogalski, Joe Kopinski, John Pajak, Walter Badzinski and Victor Lopacz.
Mrs. Szczech guarded her home with a mother’s and father’s care, always a kind and loving woman and as she lived she died. Without a word of farewell or warning she entered the darkness or dawn we call death. She has only left with us her wealth of though and deed, the memory of a brave never failing woman who bowed alone to sleep.
May her soul rest in peace.
