Allan R. Missling, age 78, of Withee, entered his heavenly home on February 13, 2025.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee. Rev. Phil Beukema will officiate. Family and friends are welcome for visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Live streaming will be available at St. John Lutheran Church- Withee facebook page and YouTube channel. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
Allan was born on June 22, 1946, the son of Raymond and Merle (Ott) Missling in Stanley, Wisconsin. He graduated from Owen-Withee High School class of 1964. He then went on to NTC and then later in life obtained his CDL through CVTC.
Al and Janis (Rohland) Missling were united in marriage June 7, 1969 and blessed with two children: Allison and David. Al was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church as he was baptized, confirmed and married there. In his younger years, Al enjoyed bowling and shooting pool. Al had a deep interest in small engines; he spent many years selling and fixing engines in his shop. When Al became a truck driver he was able to fulfill his love of traveling. Al was a social man who loved a good chat, especially around the campfire. Fireworks, Elvis Presley tunes and cars were among some of his favorite things. Above all Al cherished his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Al is survived by his wife of 55 years: Janis; two children: Allison (Ron) Kunkel and Dave (Christine) Missling; three grandchildren: Liam (Chengjie) Kunkel, Sam and Max Kunkel. He is further survived by siblings: Bob (Betty) Missling, Gloria Cox, Helen (Dick) Boening, and Margi (Brick) Missling-Root; a sister-in-law, Sharon Rohland; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Merle; his sister, Betty LePage and two brothers-in-law: Art LePage and Bob Rohland.
