      Konieczny, Leon W. (14 JAN 1920 – 24 APR 1936)

      Leon Konieczny, 16 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Konieczny, of the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died at the hospital at Chippewa Falls, of a ruptured appendix, on April 24th following and operation.

      Leon Wallace Konieczny was born Jan. 14, 1920.

      Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s National Catholic Church at Lublin on Tuesday morning Last, Rev. Kedzierski officiating and interment following in the Lublin Cemetery.

      Leon Konieczny died at the St. Joseph’s Hospital at Chippewa Falls, on Friday evening, April 24th, 1936, of a ruptured appendix. He had not been ill for any length of time and complained of a slight pain on Thursday. He was immediately taken to Dr. Neis for examination and then rushed to the hospital.

      Leon was born in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) on Jan. 14, 1920, having reached the age of 16 years, 3 months and 10 days. He was a very devoted son, brother and friend and was dearly loved by all who knew him.

      Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Konieczny, deceased leaves to mourn, two sisters and four brothers, Margaret, Agnes, Thomas, Frank, Stanley, and George, and a large number of relatives and friends.

      The funeral services were held at St. Mary’s National Catholic Church at Lublin on last Tuesday morning, Rev. F.F. Kedzierski officiating, interment following in the Lublin Cemetery.

      The pallbearers consisted of his classmates, cousins and friends: Anton Lindquist, Mike Bonczyk, Ray Konieczny, Joe Kozenka, Justin Jakowicz, and Joe Olinski. The flower girls were: Jennie Lindquist, Sophie Kozenka and Charollet and Celia Patchak.

      Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mrs. Frank Noren, Miss Frances Lie, Ray Julkowski, Anton Haider, Frank Haider, and daughter, Marcella.
