    James G. Ignasiak, age 91, of the Town of Thorp passed away on Friday, June 25, 2004. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St Mary's Czestochowa Catholic Church, Stanley, WI with Father John Puerner officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Czestochowa Cemetery, Stanley. Visitation was held on Monday, June 28,2004 from 4-8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary being recited at the Plombon Funeral Chapel, Stanley, WI

    Jim was born on April 4,1913 in the Town of Thorp rural Stanley, WI the son of Martin and Mary Ignasiak. He grew up in the area and attended schools. He was united in marriage to Estelle Zaborowski on September 3, 1938 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp, WI and they resided in the Town of Thorp where the lived and farmed all of their lives until the recent years in which he resided at Oakbrook Manor in Thorp. WI. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and going on rides to sightsee.

    He is survived by his wife, Estelle and two daughters: Loretta (Ed) Sczpioroski of Stanley, WI and Rita Derks of Thorp, WI; Two grandchildren: Julie Derks and James (Brenda) Derks; and six great-grandchildren: Samantha, Katina, Darin, Brooklyn, Stepanie and Shawn; and one sister Josephine Fijalkewicz of Stanley, WI.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven sisters: Julia, Jankowski, Madeline Kaminski, Mary Artabasy, Katherine Jankowski, Sophie Vitort, Edna Kott, and Louis Bruha and three brothers: John Ignasiak, Chester Ignasiak and Stanley Ignasiak.

    James married Estelle C Zaborowski on 3 Sep 1938 in St. Hedwig Church, Thorp, Wisconsin, USA. Estelle (daughter of Frank Zaborowski and Helen Balcer) was born on 4 Apr 1915 in Town of Thorp, Clark County, Wsconsin, USA; died on 18 Nov 2007. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Chapel here at 10:00 o’clock Friday morning, April 5th for Frank Zaborowski, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, April 2nd, 1957.



    The deceased was born in Manistee, Mich. on Sept. 1, 1882. He was united in marriage to the late Helen Balcer on Oct. 20, 1905 at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp. They resided on a farm near Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) for many years.



    He is survived by three sons, Andrew of Milwaukee, Walter of Waukesha and Tony of Lublin (Bellinger); seven daughters, Mary, Mrs. Alvin Kiel, Margaret, Mrs. Fred Levendusky, Florence, Mrs. Marcus Heidorf, and Mrs. Lillian Felber of Manitowoc, Wis., Pauline, Mrs. Frank Queck of Niles, Ill., Theresa, Mrs. Tony Ponick of Eau Claire, Wis., Stella, Mrs. Jim Ignasiak of Stanley; three brothers, Mike of Thorp, George of Eau Claire and Charles of Dorchester, Wis.; 39 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.



    He was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews: Edward Zaborowski, thorp, John Zaborowski, Gilman, grandsons: A3c Arnold Zaborowski, Rome, N.Y., Wayne Zaborowski, Bellinger, David Ponick, Eau Claire and Dale Kiel of Manitowoc.
