    RICHARD F. WROBEL, SR., age 92, of Withee, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, in Lublin. Rev. Marion Talaga will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his granddaughters: Michele DuBois, Lisa Peterson, Sara Gornicke, Heidi Baka and Maggie Wrobel. Military rites will be conducted by the Lublin American Legion Post #547. Visitation will be held at the church, on Wednesday, from 9am until time of service.
    Richard Frank Wrobel was born on December 11, 1925 in Chicago, IL, to Frank and Katherine (Radon) Wrobel. He was raised and received his education in the Chicago area, where he graduated from high school. After high school, Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Bouganville. He attained the rank of Quartermaster 3C and was honorably discharged in 1946. He returned to Illinois and was united in marriage to Harriet Mary Judycki on November 25, 1950 at St. Blase Catholic Church in Argo, IL. They lived in the Chicago area, where Richard worked for the Wrisley Soap Company, Motorola, and O'Boys. In 1969, they moved to Withee, WI and Richard worked for the Teledyne Post Company, in Owen, until retiring in 1989.
    He enjoyed spending his free time with his family and friends, loved reading, watching Westerns, playing cards, building models and sweet treats.
    Richard was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, and the Lublin American Legion Post #547, where he served as the chaplain from 2001 to 2011.
    He will be dearly missed by his wife, Harriet, of Withee; his children: Christine (Dave) Konieczny of Medford, Richard, Jr. (Peggy) Wrobel of Thorp; 5 granddaughters; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter: Virginia "Ginger" Zaidel on September 6, 2014; his step-mother: Emily Whitenick; one brother: Raymond Wrobel; and one sister: Frances Nizolek.

    Richard married Harriet Mary Judycki on 25 Nov 1950 (St. Blase Catholic Church) in Argo, IL. Harriet (daughter of Adolph Judycki and Helen Walenga) was born on 24 Feb 1929 in Lublin, WI; died on 16 Feb 2020 in Clark County Living and Rehab Center, Owen, Wisconsin, USA; was buried on 20 Feb 2020 in St. Mary's PNCC, Lublin, Wisconsin, USA.     HARRIET M. WROBEL, age 90, of Withee, WI passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Clark County Living & Rehab Center in Owen, WI. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, in Lublin, WI. Fr. Marion Talaga and Fr. John Kutek will co-officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Michele DuBois, Lisa Peterson, Sara Gornicke, Heidi Baka and Maggie Wrobel. Visitation will be held at the church, on Thursday, from 9:30am until time of service.
    Harriet Mary Judycki was born on February 24, 1929 in Lublin, WI, the daughter of Adolph and Helen (Walenga) Judycki. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at Lublin State Graded School and Withee High School. After completing her education, she moved to Argo, IL and lived with her Aunt Teofilia and Uncle Julian. Harriet was united in marriage to Richard F. Wrobel, Sr. on November 25, 1950 at St. Blase Catholic Church in Argo, IL. They lived in the Chicago area where Harriet worked for the Wrisley Soap Company, Norwegian American Auxiliary Hospital, and the Motorola TV factory. In 1969, they moved to Withee, and she worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Withee, Pabich's Grocery Store in Thorp, and the Thorp IGA until retiring in 1991.
    She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family and neighbors, being outdoors in her gardens, working in her flower beds, mowing her never-ending lawn, where she occasionally got the lawnmower stuck, hand embroidering and playing cards, especially 65. Harriet also loved to cook and bake everything, especially Polish food, and her great grandkids loved her breaded chicken tenders. She also enjoyed canning, and making sauerkraut every fall.
    Harriet was a very active member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin, where she sang in the church choir and worked and cooked in the kitchen for many church functions, and also was a member of the Lublin American Legion Auxiliary Post 547.
    She is survived by her two children: Christine (David) Konieczny of Medford, Richard (Peggy) Wrobel, Jr. of Thorp; five granddaughters; eight great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Richard, on September 15, 2018; her daughter: Virginia "Ginger" Zaidel, on September 6, 2014; one sister: Eugenia Pawula; and three brothers: Edward, Chester and Edwin Judycki.
    A very special thank you to her family for all of their loving support and kindness, her dear lady friends that she went dancing with, her dear neighbors Eva and Leroy Kilmer, and Marilyn and Marvin Knolt, for always being there, and the Marshfield Clinic for all of their excellent care.
